Massaman's story

Hi, I’m Massaman!

I’ve been living on The Farm since February 2023, when I was just 4-weeks old.

Massaman was abandoned in the middle of the night outside a local temple shelter, where a roaming street dog attacked him leaving him with a nasty leg wound. The next day, the Jai team turned up to meet his amazing rescuer, P Sumneung, who informed us that she thought his leg might be broken…

Our team were really worried, and bundled him into a blanket and gently cuddled him the whole way to the vets, where he was examined and had an x-ray.

Luckily, the vets confirmed that it was only soft tissue damage. He was unable to weight bear due to the swelling and inflammation but that soon subsided with TLC from the Jai team!

Ready to adopt Massaman?

Massaman is a young puppy with his whole life ahead of him!

He’s a confident and courageous dog who enjoys the freedom of the great outdoors. He loves to get outside and run around, have a splash in some cool water and play with both people and other dogs. He has enough energy to keep the play going all day long!

Massaman also has a cheeky side, and has proven to be a bit too confident with the older dogs. His urge to play can get him into trouble when the older dogs aren’t interested at his naughty puppy antics. After a long day of being a cheeky, playful puppy Massaman will quite happily settle down for a cuddle and a snooze.

An area where Massaman struggles is his overzealous playtime behaviour, especially with older dogs. We’re confident that with time and proper training, Massaman will overcome his excitement and learn to interact with other dogs in a much calmer state of mind, but adopters should be prepared to support him with training, lots of patience and understanding of the mischief puppies like to get into!

Massama's perfect home

Being such a young and social boy, we’re confident that Massaman would adjust well to most home environments. Being as playful as he is, Massaman could happily live with another dog, or be just as happy lapping up all the attention to himself. He could also live with dog-savvy children, providing they are mindful of that all-important settling in process and patient with his excitable puppy personality.

Massaman is an active boy and would benefit from a family who enjoy walking, to keep up his physical needs. He is already trained to walk on a lead and loves to go for pack walks with the other Jai dogs on The Farm!
