Shy, playful, and affectionate, Lucky needs time to get to know people after her trauma but loves chasing around with her dog friends!

Lucky's story
Lucky had a very sad beginning when she was discovered dumped outside a shop.
It was clear that Lucky had already sustained injury, likely she had been hit by a car, and someone had tried and failed to help her. She had been left outside the shop with a fractured front leg and hip when the people couldn’t cope with the care she needed.
Jai Dog were alerted to Lucky when the shop asked us to help her. Of course we agreed and Lucky was assessed by our vets who put her leg and hip into a soft splint to heal. It was also discovered that Lucky has a cataract in one of her eyes but her partial sight doesn’t affect her and she gets around just like any other dog.
Lucky is now fully recovered from her leg and hip injury but will always only have partial eyesight.

Ready to adopt Lucky?
Lucky has completely recovered from her injury and moves around well. Her lack of eyesight in one eye doesn’t affect her and she’s perfectly able!
After everything Lucky has been through, she’s learning to trust again: she is friends with The Farm workers but will initially bark at strangers/visitors until she gets to know you are a nice person!

Kerry's perfect home
Lucky is incredibly affectionate but she needs time and space to get to know you and to feel comfortable. She might initially bark but underneath is a very loving dog that just needs a chance!
Lucky would suit an adult only home with less visitors as she can be initially be unsure of strangers.
Lucky has lots of energy and loves bounding around with her Jai friends. She would suit an active adopter who can give her nice walks and play with her.
Lucky mixes well with other dogs and would suit a home with another dog for companionship.
