Population Surveying and Data Analyst 

We’re now looking for a motivated, hardworking individual with a love of dogs and excellent communication skills to join our team as Population Surveying and Data Analyst. This role will be instrumental in overseeing our dog population management program, with a focus on collecting, recording, and analysing data to showcase the program’s progress and success. The ideal candidate will also conduct animal welfare studies and attitudinal surveys to evaluate the program’s impact on both stray dogs and the communities they live alongside.  

Key Responsibilities 

Data Collection and Management: 

  • Develop existing monitoring and evaluation framework to better support the dog population management program. 
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of dog demographics, health, and program interventions. 
  • Population Surveys: Conduct surveys to assess the population of stray dogs and monitor changes over time. 
  • Collaborate with external partners and communities to gather insights into local dog populations, including governing bodies such as ICAM.  
  • Animal Welfare Studies: Design and execute studies to evaluate the overall welfare of stray and community dogs.  
  • Attitudinal Surveys: Develop and administer surveys to assess the attitudes and perceptions of communities towards the stray and community dog population. 

Data Analysis and Reporting: 

  • Analyse collected data to identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators. 
  • Generate regular reports demonstrating the program’s impact on dog populations and communities. 
  • Use survey results to guide program improvements and community engagement strategies. 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Population Studies, Data Science, Environmental Science, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in survey design, data collection, and analysis. 
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and data visualization software. 
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail. 
  • Passion for animal welfare and community development. 
  • Good communication skills, including English and must work well with a diverse staff.  
  • A valid driving license.

  • 1-month initial probation.
