MINISTRY OF HOUND 2023

We’re incredibly proud to announce that we have teamed up with Ministry of Sound and Goodwood to present Ministry of Hound at Goodwoof 2023!

Goodwoof is the ultimate day out for dogs and their families. You’ll find world-class competitions from top canine athletes; wellness workshops; talks from key behavioural and veterinary experts; free-of-charge activities that you can take part in with your dog; Field & Trail demonstrations plus treats and plenty of play.

Alongside these incredible events on across the weekend, you’ll find Ministry of Hound; a sensational dog disco in the main Action Sports Arena. Providing the soundtrack for guests and their dogs will be international DJ Fat Tony and a 2nd DJ to be announced. At mid-morning and again in the afternoon, the Ministry of Hound DJs will play a selection of floor-fillers, while Goodwoof’s canine freestyle expert will teach dancers how to get down with their dog, with a routine to put canine (and human) co-ordination to the test.

Tickets are still available for the event and can be purchased here.

JAI DOG RESCUE

Founded over 30 years ago in Elephant & Castle, London, Ministry of Sound is the one of the UK’s longest standing musical institutions and the ultimate destination for all things dance. In addition to their musical styling, Ministry of Sound supports Thai-based charity, Jai Dog Rescue. Established in 2017, Jai Dog Rescue’s mission is to transform the lives of street dogs in Thailand, with their team providing an invaluable lifeline for hundreds of thousands of stray and semi-roaming animals. Goodwoof is proud to collaborate with Ministry of Sound in creating Ministry of Hound and raise the profile of our respective charity partners.

Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!

Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Jai Dog Rescue to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Jai Dog Rescue we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Jai Dog Rescue to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Jai Dog Rescue will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Jai Dog Rescue receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

It costs just £25 to sterilise a Thai street dog

A donation to our CNVR work goes a long way. Not only will it improve the life of a stray dog, freeing them from the gruelling cycle of uncontrolled breeding and vaccinating them against disease, but you will also be preventing hundreds more puppies from being born into a life of misery and suffering.
