Meet Mumu – The Puppy Who Survived the Unthinkable

Attacked at just weeks old. Left fighting for his life.

Today, he is safe in our shelter – but he will need lifelong care.

Mumu’s Story

Mumu arrived at our shelter barely alive.

Only a few weeks old, he had been violently attacked by an older dog. His tiny body was broken. The attack caused a severe abdominal hernia – his stomach and spleen had shifted out of place.

He needed emergency surgery immediately.

His prognosis was extremely guarded. We didn’t know if he would make it through the night.

But Mumu fought.

During recovery, he was also treated for mange and distemper. Infection, trauma, weakness – he endured it all.

And somehow… he survived.

Help us continue the care that saved him.

Why He Needs You Today

Mumu is now physically stable but emotionally sensitive.

He is extremely nervous around strangers and struggles in new environments. Loud sounds startle him. Change overwhelms him.

Because of this, Mumu will live permanently at our shelter – where he feels safest.

He depends on us completely.

And we depend on compassionate supporters like you.

Familiar caregivers who understand his fears.

He may never leave our shelter walls.

But because of you, those walls will always mean safety and comfort.
